about rob's work

I love my craft. And every job I take on reflects such.

I do not see myself as a videographer. I'm more a "digital story-teller". My art starkly separates me from the herd when it comes time to doing something with the images I've captured. That's the part of this job I love. The creating. The weaving together a living testament to some part of your life that you value most.

Others can say it best...

“I first wanted to create this thing for my parents as a sort of thanks for the years. I feel very complete having now captured the story of my life. It almost feels like a loose end has been tied.”

That's probably the most rewarding part to what I do. I've watched families heal and bond together like never before as we build a masterpiece that celebrates their clan.

“He sure captured the personality of my dad.”   Greg wanted his aging father to know how much he meant to him. “This video has brought my dad and I so very close together. It’s been very healing for us.

”“My dad’s a W.W.II vet and I could not be more proud of him. He’s just never talked about all that he experienced there”, said Sharon.

“Oh my gosh! Rob took my old pics and he interviewed me and then my dad. From just those he wove together a DVD that’s worth gold to both of us. I cannot begin to explain to you what that’s done for our relationship. Those days that he served were very important and should never be forgotten.”

Thru my eyes I see attics storing boxes of pictures and video footage that are dying to come out and dance!

What joy it brings to take all the memories, all the important thoughts or appreciations for the years and bring them all together into something you can relive again and again together.

I take my work far, far past mere images and special effects. Anyone with money and know-how can do that. For me the magic comes from my listening. I want to hear the heartbeat of your project. I want to lasso the emotion that drives you. And I do so thru simple, casual interviews that help bring out the real story.

about rob

I'm a native Houstonian and father of 3. I was raised by a father of strong integrity and a mother with grace and love to spare.

I appreciate everything my God has given me. I savor my red wines and my friendships, and perhaps that's why I'm good at what I do. Nothing exists that does not offer a gift of marvel.

I get a sort of "high" from capturing the spirit of a wedding day or the indefinable gratitude for one's aging parent...or the pride & passion for a family being acknowledged and celebrated.

I feel these things, and I paint them onto a "digital canvas" to be preserved and passed down.
