HOW YOU VIEW LIFE and all of its components of events and objects and people dramatically influences your experience of life itself.

What do "things" mean to you? Your answer's not wrong or right, because whatever you make things mean becomes your reality. Your life experience.

Do things mean your source of pleasure?

Do things mean your source of pain?

Do things mean your source of learning?

I once resisted things and people much more than I do today. Why? I think that, without knowing, they were sources of pain or pleasure to me. My life became a juggling contest as I maneuvered my time around avoiding those things that brought me pain. If I was uncomfortable with that group then I would design my day around avoiding them. If I didn't like how I felt doing that task then I would avoid going near it. If I didn't like how I felt around that friend then I would decline functions he was attending.

More personal, if I didn't like the way I felt when she said that then I would fight her & say something painful in return. And if I was ashamed of a side of me then I would hide it to avoid the pain I felt when others saw. Rejection meant pain so declined taking risks that would bring to my face rejection.

Mercy! We spend gobs of time just trying to avoid upset or pain! In doing so we miss out on a whole bunch o' life!

So what if things that we think are painful are actually NOT? What if there's another way to hold it all?
