What
you are in life is a physical expression of who you see in
the mirror. Try, try, try as you may to become someone else...you
always settle back into who you see in your mirror.
Ever
been to a weekend seminar or retreat, gotten fired up only
to have a "flat tire" at the first roadblock?

Self
Image. It's everything. It's the darndest thing! Whatever
I believe about myself...I continually bring about proof of
it around me. It's how I stay sane! What I know to
be true and what I "act out" in my life MUST parallel
each other.
If
I believe that I'm a poor man, then I will walk like a poor
man, talk like a poor man, apply for jobs only poor men apply
for, hang out with "poor man" friends, sing poor
man songs and even eat poor man food! Why? Because I believe
(know to be true in my heart) that I'm a POOR MAN!
And so I act poor! I may try to project something else, but
I will remain what I believe I am (until I ). Belief
is powerful!
I've
seen very attractive folks who see themselves as unattractive,
while seeing very "average" folks become a smashing
success...all because of what they believed about themselves.
STOP.
LOOK. LISTEN. Hear what your voices from deep within are whispering
in your ear about yourself while you're struggling to build
a life that's contrary to those whispers. You can save a lot
of wheel spinning and grinding and struggling by becoming
aware of your base belief about yourself (that's what
drives you), and considering making
shifts in that belief.
