I'm
thrilled to share with you my story of faith.
What I learned growing up isn't quite what
I've come to know as an adult.
My
Faith plays out in very powerful and dynamic
ways now in every crevice of my life.
Let's
talk doing life from FEAR vs. from FAITH.
The first blinds you from dealing in earnest
with people and situations. It keeps you
bunched and worried while calculating everything
you do and say along with calculating everything
they do and say. The results are
far shy of your potential. The second one,
faith, sets you free to function without
being tied to an outcome, allowing you to
relax and BE YOURSELF in every situation
while allowing them to be themselves.
The results are "Miraculous".
And that brings me to my personal favorite
side of Faith...
Faith
sets you & me up for the BIG LIFE! HUGE!
My Visions & Dreams, my Love experiences,
my very Reason for living, my Fullness,
my Joy, my Peace with things & people
around me...BIGGER!
When
I'm in my small world of controlling and
analyzing and having to know, my
world is limited only to what I know &
to what I can comprehend. That's it. Now,
I know alotta stuff! But golly, I know only
a smidgen compared to what's out there in
this vast universe. But my need to "feel
in control" is dwarfing me.
Have
you ever noticed how large a gold fish
grows after you transport him from a
bowl to a pond? Ahh, God's messages!
Letting
go of my need to control my relationships
and my career and my events in life (thru
withdrawing, fighting, fixing, bullying)...letting
go of having
to know or having to direct them all
so that they'll stay inline with my plans...letting
go of it all SETS MY LIFE FREE TO BE BIGGER!
Imagine
it. See it. Envision the love you want or
the career you desire. KNOW that it's possible.
Then LET GO of the "how to" (control)
and the "what if's" (doubt). Just
KNOW that it is. Faith. It's a knowing-ness.
I thank my God for things that have yet
to happen. Faith sets me free to get busy
LIVING! Faith gives me the permission to
GO FOR IT! And then guess what happens...Life
Gurgles with endless possibilities as it
delivers the things that you insist are
possible. How can it not? Your no-holding-back
actions cannot deliver anything less!
Can
faith and fear live in the same place? As
I let go, all that's left is playing hard
and sleeping deep as I become more and more
in synch with life's flow.
It
almost sounds like an oxymoron..."Flipping
faith". Because faith isn't something
you "do". But you can flip your
"view" of faith. This has been
a topic that so many have clicked off to
or don't openly ponder as a vibrant and
vital part of life. My invite to you is
to Open up baby and give yourself permission
to see it from an angle you've never allowed
yourself.
What
is faith? My personal definition is this:
Faith
is what's left in the room when my need
to control is absent.
Awaken
to ways you "control" people and
things without your being aware. Ask your
friends to give you feedback and input on
this. We're all controllers, and our method
of controlling
has been with us for so long that we don't
even recognize when and how we're doing
it!
I
