You want to change it? Then let it be what it is! And give it your blessing to STAY what it is as long as IT chooses to stay. It's your best chance of witnessing change.

After being around the block a few thousand times It's clear that my fighting and resisting things and people in order to bring about a change only gives it fuel to stay the way it is! And the more it stays the way it is, the more I want to fight it! Argh! I've learned the art of INVITING change vs. trying to MANIPULATE change.

"It takes hard work to change people and things. It's not easy! I've got to show my force and my conviction of how he/she should be! I've got to "help" them change!

I must show no sign of "being friends" with the thing I want to change, because that's just not how you change stuff!"

What or who I'm trying to change thru my resistance is only making it dig its heals in more. I've spoken with many a person who claimed that they were genuinely trying to "help" their mate stop...smoking or eating or biting their nails or showing up late.

The trap we fall into is when our angelic intent shows up in frustration and disappointment when change doesn't occur like we think it should.

What I'm trying to change thru manipulative efforts, whether it's with my smiles or with my anger, only further entrenches the thing I want to change. Yep, I literally chase away change from the thing I'm wanting to change! It's Upside Down!


We’re taught from birth to FIGHT for what we want and to RESIST & FORCE what we want changed. Right? And then later life kabooms us with a two-by-four upside the head with the truth that love & life don't work by the same rules as football & ditch-digging! But some of us don't want to listen so we try harder.
