Hey look!
Even those smart guys who wrote the school books are divorced
and presidents and kings were having problems in thier own personal
lives! As I pondered
my life I began to recognize how I was stunted by my own restrictions
and fears. I saw how distant I was living from my own potential.
The rhythms of life began to make sense and I was NOT in rhythm!
My desires became more defined
as I began to awaken to my own capabilities. It hit me...
My attempts to put
a CONTROL GRIP ON LIFE
had backfired. I was the one
who was GRIPPED! This
process of WAKING UP happens in different times and ways for everyone.
There's nothing mystical about it. The traverse is simply a movement
from "going thru the motions of life" to "living
on purpose". It often happens
after a death or an accident, or maybe from a good book or sermon
or romance gone south. We suddenly stop the fight. We finally
stop the running and we come face to face with what we've been
avoiding all our lives...ourselves. Like
donning new shades everything begins to look different. You begin,
bit by bit to let go of the things you
HAD to control before. And as you do Miracles begin to take place.
Yes, miracles...those unexplainable events that seem to happen
when we get out of life's way. You
begin to feel more and more freedom in relationships as the need
to grasp or own is no longer priority. You wonder why you gripped
so tightly before as you watch love come to you as you always
wished it would have. More hope
and more anticipation starts your days as you stop blaming so
much and start owning your own power to create. You laugh as you
notice what once appeared as "coincidences" start making
perfect sense in a universe of perfect timings and events.
People and things are here to teach
you as they always were, but now you recognize it as such. You
find yourself much less critical toward others as you remember
that you were there once before as well. It's their time to "get
it" and so you willingly step aside to allow them their
own journey. Truths become crystal
clear as you now see pain as something to learn from vs. run from.
And you begin to see people's outrageous behaviors as shouts of
pain. You become more forgiving.
More accepting. More intrigued and more empathetic. You question
more and judge less. And you begin looking for the lessons rather
than looking for the blame. Telling
the truth doesn't scare you as it did before. You've experienced
its powers to heal and you want more. Your
newfound peace and inner joy make way for a deeper appreciation
for the perfect order of things in this life. You're silenced
as you consider your God. His universe seems all perfect as you
humbly surrender to playing your role in the Master's plan.
Press on, my friend. And remember that
greatness awaits you in that state of BEING not just doing. In
the Now,
not the Then. Feel the Vitality of this very moment. Savor this
moment and know that it's here to bring to you exactly what you
need. And in your faithful knowingness, be still & give thanks,
offer your blessings to whatever breathes, and experience from
that your Freedom. Experience yourself. Experience your God.
